Whn som1 haz an std hw often do they hav discharge?

i just had some milk white discharge that itched and the last time i had sex was 2 or 3 years ago and i dont think i had discharge then and he never cummed in me he stuck it in halfway so could i have an std and just now be showing symptoms?
