I'm a girl.. How should I get rid of my little blonde hairs on my upper lip, help!?

so on my upper lip i have little tiny blonde peach fuzz hairs. they aren't noticeable at all, unless someone were to be really close to me or looking really hard. but my boyfriend is always close to my face and i get self concious and wonder if he notices it. i don't want to shave it, so i don't know what to do. my mom uses nair hair but she said that it makes the hair grow back thicker and dark. i really don't want it to turn dark or anything like that, because its barely noticeable. i just hate feeling self conscious about it. what should i do?
